40 Birthday.....

I think I had the best 40th birthday ever!
The day started out just like most saturdays. My daughter had a game at the church at noon. So, off to the church we went. But, little did I know that my mother in law and my sister in laws were showing up to take me to lunch. When there was a break in the game they busted through the doors with a bouquet of black 40 birthday balloons shouting HAPPY BIRTHDAY, for all to hear.  I was very surprised. Apparently, I turned all shades of red. You can see all the pictures my sister in law took of me and our awesome lunch here.

Later that evening I went to dinner with my tall, dark and handsome husband. We went to all you can eat sushi. Yum! If you have not been there you should really go. It is down by Cal Ranch in American Fork. I was way stuffed when my hubby suggested we go and get some dessert at this place his friend told him about in Orem. I asked him if we could just go to a movie instead because I was really full. He kind of ignored me and I just thought OK, I guess he really wants to go. We finally end up at this cute little old house that they have turned into a dessert cafe. Sorry, I can't remember the name. It is by Classic skating. We go in and I see a really long line to get desserts. At this point I should of known something was up because my husband does not do long lines. He told me we should go up stairs because that is where they have the best seats. Still, no clue. We walk up stairs and everyone yells surprise or happy birthday, I can't remember now because I was quite shocked. Two surprises in one day. Who would of thought. It was the best. I am still amazed that it was for me. Thank you to all that put it together. I seriously have the best friends and neighbors a person can have. My photographer friend was there to capture the surprise. Thank you. Of course, I received many old people gifts to remind me that I am old. I cannot express enough how much this day meant to me. I will never forget it. I feel very loved!

Doesn't look like Rachel has a ghost by her? Yes, it must be the ghost of my youth.

The party did not stop.....
Later in the week I got to go to breakfast with some wonderful girlfriends. Friends came and went, but this was most of them. Again, thanks soooo much for being so great. I even got a piece of cake with a sparkler on it. How cool was that?

Wheew.....I made to the 40 club.
I was telling my friends that now I should probably act more mature.
Well, maybe when I turn 50.
